The Presidents Awards 2018 at Toise SSS— Bronze 2018
35 learners from our school has committed to take part in The Presidents Awards. The learners decided that for their service they would take care of their environment at their own schools. The Presidents Awards consist of:
What the program consist of:
- SERVICE
At least 24 hours of regular service over three months. – Our Learners at Toise SSS has decided to keep our school litter free, they work in a group to keep our school clean and recycle.
- PHYSICAL RECREATION
Select an activity and show regular effort and improvement over 3 months. Our Presidents awards group does Rugby, Soccer and Netball.
- SKILL
Select an activity and show regular effort and improvement over 3 months. Our Presidents award group does Chess, book clubs, debating, newspaper club, leaders group.
- ADVENTUROUS JOURNEY
Minimum duration: 2 consecutive days and 1/2 night.
6 hours of purposeful effort each day: –
Walk – 24km—We will be completing our adventurous journey camp on the 14-16 June 2018.
