Education, the key to success

By Yonwaba Tyiki

Education is an important part of one’s life and in the society, valued is an educated person. Education requires a lot of commitment and dedication. As clichéd as it may sound but “education is a key to success.”

Education is an important part in one’s life and takes a huge part of it. It can lead one to a life of success, wealth and happiness. When one is determined to succeed, it becomes easier for them to choose a career that will open doors for them.

Showing perseverance during one’s school career ensures one to quality education. Showing dedication means sacrificing many things in order to achieve fulfillment in education. You give up “night life” and other unnecessary activities that only lead one to destruction. You focus! You focus on one thing only, one thing being education.

It brings so much joy to reap the fruits of one’s labour. In the end the late nights of studying, the sacrifices, the extra lessons, they pay. In conclusion, I Yonwaba Tyiki would like to advise the young people to strive, to be the best they can be. I agree with the great Nelson Mandela “education is the most powerful tool you can use to change the world.”

Toise Garden Project

by Gr 10a & Gr 10b Learners

Toise and Old Mutual, “Empowering people, cultivating communities, building a nation”.

The school received a donation of gardening facilities to promote a healthy and active lifestyle. Gardening facilities included:

  • 4 garden tunnels;
  • Seeds (Cabbage, Carrots, beetroot and Spinach)

These were donated to sustain the school nutrition program.

The project is monitored by Mrs. Marwanqa (agriculture educator) and agriculture students.

We believe that one reaps what they sow and for us, we will reap from the beautiful garden we established.
